There’s a field where friends, dogs and birds come together. The field goes as far as the horizon and the only thing that ends is the day, for tomorrow brings another. |

| The first time I had a covey a quail explode in front of me it made my heart stop. I wasn’t bird hunting at the time but, when my heart started pumping again, I wanted to. I met a man in Southern Illinois by the name of Ivy Lee Morgan. He hunted birds since he was 12 years old. When I met him he was 67 years old, half blind out of one eye and could barely see out of the other. The first time we went hunting on the first flush, before I could raise my gun, he dropped 2 quail and apologized for missing another. I moved from Southern Illinois and met a man by the name of Lou Lutostanski. He loved to hunt birds and asked me to come along with him. The first time I hunted with him he apologized because he missed the first bird up but, hit the next two, before I could shoot my first. He then introduced me to the finest bird dog I had ever hunted behind, Sparky, a German Short Hair Pointer. I’ve been a bird hunter ever since. My hunting dogs are German Shorthair Pointers. I trained all my dogs since they were 8 weeks old. The dogs are seasoned veterans with hundreds of birds shot over their point.
