All it takes to make me happy is a lake, a friend and a couple of fish to share. All the rest of life is just filler.

I started my outdoor life as a fisherman. My father, Joe, took me fishing as a boy. My father-in-law and friend, Mel bought a cottage (1973) on Lake Of Egypt, in Southern Illinois. Shortly afterwards he encouraged me and my wife Tia to move, to the lake (1978) to start our new life and family. It was on Lake of Egypt that I honed my skills as a fisherman. Since that time I have fished in Canada, Lake Michigan, Gulf of Mexico, Missouri, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida and Georgia. I have successfully caught Crappie, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Northern Pike, Coho Salmon, Chinook Salmon, Lake Trout, Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Striper, Hybrid Striper, Catfish, assorted pan fish, etc...

Services –
I specialize in Crappie and Bass fishing in the Southern Illinois area. I am at my best on Lake Of Egypt. I provide boat and tackle. Currently the boat is an 18 foot long, deep river jon manufactured by SeaArk and modified by me to be able to fish 2 people comfortably. It includes a 50 horsepower Evinrude outboard motor, 52 pound thrust MotorGuide foot control trolling motor, live well and cushioned swivel chairs. Rod reels and tackle will be tailored for the type of fish and weather conditions. I am not a trophy fisherman. I abide by all lake and state rules. I am more interested in catching numbers of keeper fish and only keeping the ones that will be eaten. All the rest are caught and released.
