Water Temperature Middle South Main Channel – 65 to 68 Steady
Water Level = 6 inches Above Normal Pool
Water Clarity = Cloudy and Clearing
Last Rain = 04/25/08

The water temperatures are steady. The crappie continue to bite and can be found on structure in water 10 to 5 feet deep. The best structure is wood next to weeds. Jigs under floats would be a good way to fish. Some reports of fish spawning are coming in.

Bass fishing continues to be hot with some fish going on the beds. Spinner baits seem to be the popular choice with chartreuse/white skirts and copper blades catching the most. Sinkos are still catching it's share of fish and black jigs may be catching the biggest.

I'm building docks!!!???!!!

Hey Mike, I dont want you to think i've quit doin reports for ya, I've had so much stuff goin on with school, i wont be able to get out to the lake till next week. I was going to tell you though that bluegill fishing in farm ponds right now is absolutely insane. I've taken my buddy murph 3 or 4 times in the past 2 weekends, and i shit you not, we havent had a trip where we've caught less than 100. we've already got enough fillets to last all summer! anyway, you'll be hearin from me soon

No worries Steve! Get that school work done. I know I'll sound like a parent now but that schooling is your future. You already know how to fish. Teach a man how to fish and he'll feed himself all his life. Graduate with a degree and he'll sell his fish for a profit!
